After what feels a long winter my mind is wondering to last Autumn’s trip to Southern Spain. I developed an enthusiasm for drawing the mountain, La Maroma, in the Tejeda National Park that towers over the valley where we were staying.
La Maroma is the focal point of a fertile valley dotted with Fincas, vineyards and groves of olives and avocado. Within the valley are 4 pueblo blanco, the characteristic white villages of the area, the largest of which is Competa.
My drawings were produced with ink blocks which I have found are ideal for travelling with. I have produced prints of these drawings which can be purchased from Kim Summers in Competa who runs 2 extremely pleasant properties in the area that are great for holidays. Or send me an email from my website.
